Rice is a cereal grain that has great importance in the agricultural business of Thailand. It is packed with carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, phenolic compounds and antioxidants such as gamma-Aminobutyric acid.  

There are many forms of health products in the mass market made by rice such as Rice Bran Oil, Rice Milk, Gamma Oryzanol substance and GABA amino acids. The research and development team sees great importance in creating health products using rice, which is done by peeling, grinding and extracting the rice grains using enzymes. The liquids extracted from these rice grains will be filled with GABA acids and vitamins that are healthy for the human body. Furthermore, reducing sugars will be collected which belongs to a group of sugars that have Aldehyde or Keton, which are easy to oxidize using oxidizing agents. These types of reducing sugars are monosaccharides such as glucose, galactose and fructose. Disaccharides also are included such as lactose and maltose. 

 

            After these rice grains are extracted the research and development unit will take the liquids to create healthy beverage products, which are easy to consume when mixed with other fruit juices and flavouring agents.
